When I picked up my first "real" camera, I was a little overwhelmed. I knew it could do a lot of cool things, but for years I just kept it in automatic mode. I finally took several classes from a local videographer and photographer, and that's when I finally found all the potential hidden in my camera. Learning hands-on and in-person was key for me. I am so grateful for those mentors who gave me the tools I needed to not only start ASF&D, but to be capable of documenting special moments of my little family too.

Since 2017, I have been offering videography & photography classes. I have worked hard to incorporate both the elements of basic photography and videography as well as advanced elements so that each class will fit both the beginner and the skilled creative. Each #ASFDclass is designed for those who own a camera (DSLR preferably, but not mandatory) and a computer or phone with an editing program for videography. In addition, each class is completely hands-on and includes a live photo/video shoot with models to practice on, plus time to ask me any and every question you want in a small/intimate setting of up to 10 students!

Classes are offered several times a year, or by demand, so contact me for upcoming class info or to be put on the list. Class size is limited and all classes are held at my home in South Ogden, except for the live shoot which is held at an outdoor location in South Ogden.
